Although the Government announced the development plan of Colombo harbour’s West Container Terminal(WCT) with the India – japan joint investment, the deal to be signed directly between India’s Adani cooperation and Sri Lankan government, India’s external affairs ministry spokesman Anuraga Sri Wasthawa said.
Moreover, Japan’s participation in this project is doubtful as they haven’t nominated any investment company yet.
‘It is clear; this is a joint venture project between Adani and Sri Lanka’, the spokesman said.
