Hundreds of thousands of farmers marched towards Mumbai city to hold a mammoth rally against the controversial new agriculture laws.
India’s NDTV states farmers are coming from 21 districts of Maharashtra reaching Mumbai today after extensive 180 kilo meters of walk.
‘Visuals from the city border and toll gates showed the farmers – who number around 15,000 – arriving in cars, jeeps, vans and trucks flying red flags, the NDTV said.
Farmers are started to gathering in iconic Azad Maidan where the gigantic rally to be held with the participation of farmer leaders including NCP chief Sharad Pawar, whose party is a member of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
Over 25 farmers died so far during their long walk to Mumbai protest against farm laws.
