The prime ministers of Hong Kong, Thailand, and Australia requested an explanation from Pfizer-BioNTech corporation as 29 elderly people died after receiving the Pfizer vaccine in Norway early this week.
The WHO has asked more details about Norway’s vaccination programme and details of deceased people, The Boomerang reported.
Thailand is about to roll out its vaccination programme with Pfizer. However, its prime minister Chan-Ocha said ‘won’t rush to start the programme’ due to the deaths. Australian medical regulators challenged the Pfizer-BioNTech to sort out the concerns without distributing vaccine to the countries worldwide.
Meanwhile, WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized his disappointment the way COVID vaccination programme rollout.
