Attorney-at-Law Nishara Jayaratne, the coordinating officer of the Attorney General, has stated that the Attorney General is requesting a preliminary inquiry into the telephone conversation between former Director General of the Bribery Commission, the present Solicitor General Dilrukshi Dias and Avangard Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi.
Accordingly the relevant request was to be forwarded to the Public Service Commission on Monday the 23rd.
A voice recording of a telephone conversation of Dilrukshi Dias, former Director General of the Bribery Commission, claiming to have sued Avant Garde for political influence, was released on social media by the company’s chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi from Singapore yesterday.
However, Minister of Justice Thalatha Athukorala has said that she would consult the Attorney General regarding the audio recording.
Meanwhile, former Director General of the Bribery Commission, Dilrukshi Dias, posted a note on her Facebook account saying:
Dilrukshi Dias posted a facebook note saying that the entire telephone conversation should be released with the politician mentioned in the conversation.
