The Archbishop of Colombo has said that when he says leaders have no backbones he did not meant to name the president or the prime minister. But if the President labeled himself as a leader with no backbone, he would have nothing to do with the it.
Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has said at a press conference held at the Archbishop of Borella in Colombo that if any candidate contesting the forthcoming presidential election does not promise to appoint an independent commission on the Easter attack, should refrain from meeting him.
The Archbishop of Colombo, mentioned in his speech that the leaders should be working with straight back bones, but didn’t mention the names of president or prime minister. However if the President picks the floating hat, let him be, said the cardinal.
