The Payments Paid For Nevil Fernando Hospital, are Illegal ! Presidential Commission Chairman.

The Chairman of the Presidential Investigative Commission, Upali Aberatne said that the all payments paid for the Nevil Fernando Hospital, are not legal because of the government has not taken over the said hospital so far. When the Director General of the accounting & finance branch of the Health Ministry, Hemantha Swarnathilaka was called to give the evidence before the Commission, he admitted that the owner of the Nevil Fernando hospital was not the government As this is official admittance from the responsible high profile government’s officers, the Chairman of the Commission declared that the all payments paid by the government so far, was totally illegal. Giving further evidence, the Director General of the accounting & the finance section of the Health Ministry revealed that the government has paid for the Nevil Fernando hospital around 182 millions since the begining of 2019 and 50 more millions for buying for the medicine. In addition to pay this huge amount of money, the government pays the salaries of 39 workers of the Nevil Fernando hospital staff.
