Six Remanded for Molesting a Woman at Atulugama!



The Panadura Magistrate has ordered six persons in the Atulugama area in Bandaragama to be remanded till 11th of July for allegedly assaulting and sexually harassing a woman.

Further, the Magistrate ordered the Bandaragama Police to arrest a member of the Bandaragama Pradeshiya Sabha, Mohamed Imtiaz and to be produced him in the court immediately for threatening the witnesses.

The complaint was lodged to the Bandaragama Police station on March 3rd by a woman named, Abdul Hassan Fathima Haifa, complaining that a Muslim group from the mosque in her area had harassed and molested her due to her marriage to a Sinhalese.
