The defence accord between Sri Lanka and China signed by the Sri Lankan President during his visit to China, is just for military training and for supplying military equipments, says the Chinese Embassy spokesman. By the time this accord was signed, Sri Lankan embassador for China, Karunasena Kodithuwakku, Justice minister Thalata Athukorala, and the minister Daya Gamage had been present.
There is no needy for keeping obscurity of the facts of this accord and the stance of China towards Sri Lanka is intact, he further added. But he ruled out the informations that the Chinese Intelligence assistance to supply for the Sri Lankan military forces for country’s security, according the this newly signed accord.
