The veteran cricketer, Chaminda Vas is arguing if the two billionaires can donate the 300 million Euros to the restructuring for the burnt down Notre Dame church of France, why can’t the poverty be eradicated from the world, then replying for this issue, the former deputy chairman of Central Bank W.A.Wijewardhana comments that the poverty can’t be eliminated by dividing the money among the individuals.
After several hours of catching the fire of Notre Dame church of France and burning down one part of it, the whole financial expenses for the damage was given by two of the richest men in the world. By noticing this, Chaminda Vas commented his idea on his twitter account that the same way those richest people in the world have got more than enough money to help for the poor people in the world to eliminate the poverty. He further mentioned that the people should be thinking if there are more than seven billion people in this world and just two of them are in this much mega rich condition. However the former deputy chairman of the CBSL put his comment like this.
“The whole world’s annual production is 88 trillion dollars. If this money is to be divided equally in to 7.53 people of the whole population of the world, a one person would get 11,700 U.S dollars annually. By doing so, there are certain problems which can be sorted out but not this solution for the all problems.so the poverty can’t be eradicated by this way. To eradicate the poverty, the poor people must have the wider opportunity and need to increase their capacity”.
Taking in to a consideration of these dialogue between Chaminda Vas and W.A.Wijewardana, it seems that it is kind of normal perspective of individuals towards the poorer in the world. But the both of this particular individuals were talking about what the capitalism gave to the world and took out from the world. As a result of allowing one single person to earn billions of money under the system of capitalism, at once they are in a position to donate millions while majority suffering day to day lives even without minimum facilities such as medicine for their diseases or enough foods for survive. The veteran fastballer, Chaminda Vass is sentimental with this dilemma and that is why he asking why the rich people can’t eradicate the poverty by donating so. As a reply for that, the former deputy chairman of CBSL, put a classic glorified idea of elimination of poverty is not just the way of donating money equally among them but the way of uplifting the poorer’s deprived opportunity and opening the space for them to be active.
