Chairman of Richard Peiris Group and Kegalle Plantation, Sena Yaddehige, said to be involved in malpractices relating to Kegalle Plantation shares. Suspected transactions were not complied with Stock Market regulations and he was accused of act fraudulently.
Accusation is based on Kegalle Plantation declaring a massive Rs 45 per share dividend recently. Prior to the declaration of dividends of the company, the said Chairman has been accused of purchasing shares.
Incident took place on 10 July 2015 and a case was filed in this regard at the Colombo magistrate court on the 7th of March, which was heard on the 28th of March, but the defendant was not attended at the court.
However, Sena Yaddehige has filed a petition at the Appeal court on the 21st of March against the Colombo Stock Exchange taking legal action against him.
