Further Delay for Appointing Chairmen for the State Corporations !

The reason behind the delay for appointing the chairmen and the director boards of state corporations, even after 3 weeks of new cabinet is reported as, the Prime Minister office has not sent the relevant name list to the Presidential Secretary office.
The President had revealed this at the meeting where he met his electoral organizers of SLFP on 13th. Anyway before this, the President had issued circulation to nominate a committee with five people whom two from PM office and three from Presidential Secretary office to approve the name list. According to this committee’s recommendation, the chairmen and the directors are to be approved. This committee is supposed to consider the degrees, professional qualifications and work experiences to approve the names from the relevant name list.
The chairman of this committee is the secretary of the President and the other representatives are, President’s senior adviser W.J.S Karunaratna, two people from Prime Minister and one from the Secretary of the Finance Ministry.
