The director board of the Bank Of Ceylon, appointed by the “fifty days government”in which Mahinda Rajapaksha became the Prime Minister for only 50 days as a result of a conspiracy, has resigned from their director posts with an immediate effect from 20th December.
After Mahinda Rajapaksha had taken oath as the Prime Minister, Mr.Neil Umagiliya was appointed as the Chairman of the director board of BOC on 13th of November and the other members of the director board were appointed on 26th of November. These all of the members except Vishaka Amarasekara, have resigned from their director positions.
According to this, the Chairman Neil Umagiliya, and the members of the director board, Lalith Vitharana, Madhavi Hearth, Isuru Balapatabendhi and Harsha Wijewardana have resigned from their positions.
