Political observers have expressed their concern that during the upcoming election there will be likely civil conflicts among party supporters.
Power struggle between ruling parties has brought down the situation to the present level of low conspiracy where the constitution, Parliament and ultimately the people’s vote is not respected anymore.
In a general election, the public gets into killing each other in the interests of power of different groups of the ruling parties. The Political Powers knowingly arms the mobs, followers and gangsters. This situation is already beginning to unfold throughout the country, reports say.
It’s already reported that a businessman called Raghupati Rathnam of Highport, Nawalapitiya, who was supporting Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna, was attacked by a group of thugs last Saturday morning (10th). So this gives an example about the unfolding situation through out the country. The businessman has said that some team had arrived at around 1.00 am in the early morning and damaged his house and the car.
Therefore, the leftist parties are proposing to the people in the country that instead of killing each other being a scapegoat of the political powers, must work to build a people’s power by working with leftist politics.
