It is over an year since the so called interviews, promising ne appointments, held for the unemployed graduates.
The First round of interviews were held at the District Secretaries’ Offices and the second round at the Divisional Secretariats. It has been reported that the applications were called twice for the interviews held at the District Secretariat’s office due to administrative errors.
Following the interviews, 4100 appointment letters have been handed to the candidates for the post of the Development Officers at a ceremony held at Temple Trees on 20th August. Evidently the appointments were granted in a political basis disregard the interviews, making nearly 1,000 of those appointments were handed to those have already been employed by another company. Therefore they have not been able report to work.
It obviously shows the irregularity and failure of the Divisional Secretariats by giving appointments to those who are already employed.
