The higher education minister Wijedasa Rajapaksha had revealed his inefficiency by saying “there were 410 students protests within last 3 months.
He expressed this idea by addressing a media at U.G.C on 30th July. Eventhough he revealed these facts, its real meaning is, as the education minister he has not fullfilled his responsibility for his assigned subjects and that is why the students gone down to the roads to protest.
According to his assessment, he said that, ” For the last couple of months, there were 07 students protest rally held. For each rally, it would cost 3,00,000 Rupees. For the last 07 rally, the students might have spent 21,00,000 Rupees.
By putting a flimsy logic, he arguing that, the university students do not have such amount of money to spend as they depend on “Mahapola”. There for another fraction seems to be spending money for the students rally”.
If the minister is not aware of how the students collect the money for the protest, the common people of this country know that the students coming to collect money in to the roads, buses, trains and door to door while the ministers having super luxury lives by cutting the working people’s grants and subsidy.
