President Maithripala Sirisena has been compel to sworn in more and more ministers to satisfy those who support and balance his political power.
Two State Ministers and five Deputy Ministers of United National Party (UNP) have been sworn in at the Presidential Secretariat this morning(12). UNP parliamentarian Ranjith Aluvihare was sworn in as State Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs while Lucky Jayawardana was sworn in as Hill Country New Villages Infrastructure and Community Development. Ajith Mannapperuma was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Environment while Angajan Ramanathan of United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. K. Kader Masthan UPFA was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs. Edward Gunasekara was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Wayamba Development while Nalin Bandara was sworn in as Deputy Minister of Public Administration and Management, Law and Order.
