The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association says that the bus fares will have to be increased with the increase in fuel prices.
Chairman of the Association of Private Bus Owners Gamunu Wijeratne said that the members of the Private Bus Owners’ Association would meet to decide on this matter.
The fuel price increased in Petroleum Corporation petrol stations since Thursday night, and Indian oil company charges were also raised at the same time. Under this circumstance, passengers have to hold the burden which creates by the joint government.
Last night, the owners of the three-wheelers decided to increase their original tariff by Rs. 10, and all the other sectors will also be affected in due course.
