Sarath Fonseka, the Sustainable Development, Wildlife and Regional Development Minister has reportedly apologized President Maithripala Sirisena over the infavourable comments made against the President.
After the cabinet meeting held yesterday(9), the Minister, along with several other ministers who are close to him, have met the President to express regret. Sarath Fonseka, in few occasions made unfavorable statements regarding the decisions and comments by the President. The most recent was his speaking to the Media after assuming duties in the new ministry on May 3, when he made some critical comments against President Sirisena.
Fonseka also made several comments against the President when he was speaking at the May Day Rally of the United National Party on 6th Sunday.
