A survey report revealed that the female labour force increased in Sri Lanka’s labour force. It is shown that 14% growth in the female labour force in 2017 compared to 2016.
This is described as a better development since the women as housewives enable families run smoothly, but the actual signal is women are still slaves to families. Women organizations cry for more participation in economy and freedom for all workers. Without the hand in economy, women cannot fulfill their liberation struggle, Marxists argue.
