Office of the Missing Persons Established by the Government is a Lie – Relatives of Disappeared Persons in Trincomalee Says 


The office established by the government to investigate missing persons is a cover up to avoid the responsibility of war crimes during the war and thereby true issue is hide behind a show off organised by the government.

Governments act of show is disclosed by the chairman of the Trincomalee District committee on behalf of Disappearances and Abductions Mrs Nagendran Jeyalakshmi Pillai. The Chairperson expressed her views at a Media conference. Members of the public launch a protest march to mark the completion of one year of ‘Satyagraha’ held in front of Trincomalee Governor’s office.

There after, the relatives of the disappeared and the abductees went on a demonstration by displaying photographs of their missing relatives.
