The Inter-University Student Federation (IUSF) says that parents have to risk their lives to save the medical degree and to defeat the privatisation of free education which is being carried forward by the present government.
A hunger strike was scheduled to start yesterday (6) with the participation of some of the leftist parties, parents of Medical students’ and representatives of mass organisations.
IUSF has pointed out that a number of forces have been gathered against the SAITM protest which started by student movements initially. However, the government has not responded the mass struggle positively. If the government neglect the parents’ lives, the Student movement comes forward with all the forces to protect the lives, and the education said IUSF.
